Pumpkin season is the perfect theme for fall. Students learn the characteristics of the pumpkins, how pumpkins grow, the life cycle of the pumpkin, products they can make using pumpkins, and more. This theme is really fun because it is the perfect season to create a pumpkin patch in the classroom so young children can be exposed and experience of what a pumpkin patch is. It is also a way to create real-life connections for those students who have the opportunity to visit the pumpkin patch with their families because they share their social experiences and interactions with their classmates through play.
